Project Description
This is Gibbs. He’s our resident grumpy old man. He likes 3 dogs here (Boo, Ginger and Blue) and barks at the rest in “get off my lawn” style. If he doesn’t know you and you try to approach him, he might bite you. If he knows you, and you approach him when he’s in a mood, he might bite you. He’s a stinker. He’s opinionated, stubborn and grumpy.
He also has a sweet side. He loves his toys and will carry them from place to place. This one came in the house with him and then went back out to his run with him because, well, he just doesn’t trust those other dogs in the house not to steal it.
He had a home that he could not remain in because his quirky temperament was not safe for the child in the home. And, his chances of adoption are pretty slim. He’s an old guy with some arthritis, strong opinions and is willing to use his teeth when he’s expressing himself. In short, Gibbs is just the kind of dog that the sanctuary exists for. And we love him. Mr. Gibbies, as he’s known around here, is our kind of misfit.
